FOX SPORTS RETURNS WITH COLLEGE FOOTBALL DOUBLEHEADER – On Saturday, Oct. 20 FOX presents another Pac-12/Big 12 doubleheader as the Cal Bears host the 20th-ranked Stanford Cardinals (3:00 PM ET) and Heisman front-runnerGeno Smith and the 13th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers host Collin Klein and the 4th-ranked K-State Wildcats (7:00 PM ET). Craig BolerjackJoel Klatt and on-field analyst Petros Papadakis call the early action from California Memorial Stadium in Berkley, CA. College Football on FOX’s lead broadcast team of play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, analyst Charles Davis and reporter Julie Alexandria call the nightcap from Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

FOX’s coverage begins at 2:30 PM ET with FOX COLLEGE SATURDAY and originates live each week from FOX’s brand new state-of-the-art studio in the FOX Network Center in Los Angeles.  Erin Andrews hosts with Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George and former Oregon All-American quarterback Joey Harrington as analysts.  Additionally, the trio handles all halftime and postgame studio coverage for both games.

DAVIS: WEST VIRGINIA HAS BOUNCED BACK BEFORE; DON’T EXPECT THEM TO LIE DOWN NOW  Week 8 of the College Football season features some key matchups, but perhaps none more pivotal than West Virginia’s matchup with K-State this Saturday on FOX (7:00 PM ET). Coming off a surprising loss to Texas Tech, Heisman candidate Geno Smith and the Mountaineer offense are looking to respond. College Football on FOX lead analyst Charles Davis believes West Virginia will bounce back. “Not only will they be angry, but I think this is a chance for them to refocus,” says Davis. “Now they have a chance to look back. ‘Ok, we had our clunker of a game.’ They had a few of those last year and won the Big East, and clobbered Clemson in the Orange Bowl. They can take that game and set it aside; and if they can find a way to play a little bit better defense along the way, I don’t see their offense only scoring 14 points in a game for the rest of the year.”
