Comcast SportsNet’s coverage of game 1 of the Capitals-Rangers 2011 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on April 13 posted a 6.18 average household rating in the Washington TV market, making it the second-highest Capitals rating in network history, behind only game 7 of last year’s first-round series versus Montreal. This year’s game 1 attracted approximately 145,000 homes in the Washington market and another 34,000 in the Baltimore market. That’s about 21% higher than CSN’s ratings for Caps playoff game 1 of 2010, according to dcrtv.
