8/1 – IOC Allows Olympic Streaming

U.S. listeners looking to hear home team coverage of the 2012 London Games will be able to do so. The International Olympics Committee has lifted a ban on overseas broadcasts of BBC radio. The IOC says the British broadcaster can stream its programming as long as Olympic coverage makes up a minority of a show’s content. The Guardian reports that means music and news programs are back on the web, while sports talk remains unavailable to U.S. listeners, reports Inside Radio.
