7/31 – ESPN Radio’s Gottlieb Leaves For CBS

CBS Sports has announced the first hire for its new radio network. Doug Gottlieb will host afternoons (3-6pm ET) on CBS Sports Radio, which launches January 2. He jumps to CBS from ESPN Radio where he’s also worked in the same daypart for the past nine years. The deal also gives Gottlieb a role on CBS-TV’s college basketball coverage. As part of the multi-year, multiplatform contract, Gottlieb will serve as studio and game analyst for CBS Sports’ television coverage of regular-season college basketball and the network’s joint coverage with Turner Sports of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. He will host a new show airing weekdays on CBS Sports Network beginning this fall on cable TV and will be an analyst for regular-season college basketball. Gottlieb will be a contributor to CBSSports.com, reports Inside Radio.
