The third edition of the ‘UFC on FOX’ was the lowest rated mixed martial arts telecast on broadcast television since EliteXC first debuted on CBS four years ago. Coverage of the UFC on FOX drew a 1.5 final rating and 2.4 million viewers Saturday night, according to Sports Business Daily, down 42% in ratings and 48% in viewership from the second telecast in January (2.6, 4.661M), and down 52% and 58%, respectively, from the first telecast last November (3.1, 5.675M). The telecast ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed mixed martial arts telecast on broadcast (eight telecasts dating back to 2008). The previous lows were a 1.7 rating and 2.571 million viewers for the second edition of EliteXC on CBS in July 2008, reports Sports Media Watch.
