Cumulus Media has finalized its $37-per share buyout of Citadel, valued at $2.4 billion. The combination gives Cumulus Media a national platform of 120 markets nationwide. “Locally, Citadel owns news talker WMAL (630 AM), hot adult contemporary WRQX (107.3 FM), and classic rock WVRX (105.9 FM). Citadel owns and operates 225 radio stations in 50 markets and also runs the Citadel Media network. The new combined company would own 572 radio stations in 120 markets,” according to dcrtv.
