Wednesday’s Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final was the third straight game of the series to suffer a decline in both ratings and viewership. Game 4 between the Canucks and Bruins earned a 1.6 U.S. rating and 2.714 million viewers on Versus Wednesday night, down 6% in ratings and 13% in viewership from last year (CHI/PHI G4: 1.7, 3.126M), and down 11% and 21%, respectively, from 2009 (DET/PIT G4: 1.8, 3.448M). The game ranks as the lowest rated Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final since at least 1998 (ratings prior to 1999 were not available). Keep in mind that Game 4 aired on broadcast each year from 2000 to 2008, according to SMW.
