The Washington Times was busy laying off the entire sports section at the end of 2009, but now the department is making a comeback in 2011. Dan Daly, a long-time sports writer for the paper, announced via Twitter he has signed paperwork to come back to the Times as a member of its revived sports section. Daly covered the Washington Redskins for 28 seasons for the Washington Times and the New England Patriots for two years before that. More staff announcements should be coming soon.
