“Days after luring eight staffers from AOL’s Engadget tech blog, DC-based SB Nation, known for its network of sports blogs, reportedly is on the verge of hiring former AOL Media executive Marty Moe. According to All Things Digital, Moe would lead the company’s new technology focus, while company founder Tyler Bleszinski would continue to manage its sports blogs. Moe spent nine years at AOL, rising to senior vice president before stepping down for “personal reasons” last August. Earlier this week, Engadget’s former top editor, Joshua Topolsky, joined SB Nation to launch a competing tech blog. Topolsky, who will be joined by former managing editor Nilay Patel and several other former staffers, said he hopes to launch the yet-to-be-named site in the fall,” according to Potomac Tech Wire.
