Lavar Arrington said today on the Lavar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes on 106.7 The Fan that John Beck will be the starting Redskins QB for the 2011-12 season. Donovan McNabb is expected to be released by the Redskins before the season, and given Shanahan’s track record, the move is likely to come before the start of training camp. The Redskins reportedly signed Beck to a two-year, $2.25 million contract extension in 2010. Beck was already under contract for $1 million, so the team now has him locked up for the next three years, at a total salary of $3.35 million. Beck started four games for the Dolphins in 2007 but hasn’t played at all since then.
