2/13 – FOX Earns Larger Audience for Second Live EPL Telecast

Viewership increased slightly for the second live English Premier League match on U.S. broadcast television. Sunday’s Chelsea/Manchester United EPL match earned a 0.8 final rating and 1.377 million viewers on FOX, flat in ratings and up 10% in viewership from the network’s first live EPL telecast two weeks earlier (MANU/ARSENAL: 0.8, 1.258M). Though up from the first live telecast, Sunday’s match ranks as the second-lowest rated and the second-least viewed of the five EPL telecasts on FOX this season. The network’s three tape delayed matches earlier in the season each earned at least a 1.0 final rating and 1.6 million viewers. Keep in mind those tape delayed matches aired either before or after NFL coverage on FOX, depending on the market, according to Sports Media Watch.
