Executive producer Bret Oliverio of CBS’ 106.7 The Fan and the ‘Sports Junkies’ show in Washington, DC, has resigned and given his two-week notice to pursue ownership of a family-owned restaurant business in Greenville, North Carolina. Oliverio, who joined the station as an intern over 12 years ago, was recently elevated to assistant programming director in addition to his producing duties, but felt compelled to leave to pursue the promising enterprise. His brother Derek Oliverio, was the owner of the family restaurant ‘Sup Dogs’, until Derek tragically passed away in September 2011 in a house fire. Oliverio will be leaving the station Feb 3.
