12/12 – Army/Navy Up From Last Year

Overnight ratings for the Army/Navy game were the second-highest in the past twelve years. Navy’s win over Army earned a 4.0 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, up 14% from last year (3.5), but down 5% from 2009 (4.2). The 4.0 overnight is the second-highest for the Army/Navy game since 1999 (4.9). Since moving to the week after college football’s conference championship game, the Army/Navy game has earned at least a 3.5 overnight rating each year. In the previous three years, the game’s highest overnight was a 2.6, according to Sports Media Watch.
