ESPN said Tuesday that it has acquired exclusive U.S. television rights to live tennis action from The Championships, Wimbledon. ESPN won the rights ahead of NBC, a unit of Comcast Corp. , which had held the Wimbledon broadcast rights for 43 years. As well as more live games, the 12-year agreement will see the men’s and women’s finals re-aired on ABC at 3 p.m. Eastern on the same day. Financials details of the deal weren’t made public.
