The Associated Press’ Steve Wilson reports NBC has won the bid for the Olympics from 2014-2020 keeping the Games. At stake were the rights to the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, and 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, as well as the 2018 Winter Games and 2020 Olympics, whose sites have not yet been chosen. This was the first U.S. auction since 2003, when NBC outbid ESPN and Fox for the rights to the 2010 and 2012 Olympics in a deal worth $2.2 billion.
