NEW YORK – June 27, 2016 SiriusXM will offer subscribers comprehensive live coverage of The Championships, Wimbledon 2016 from the opening day of play today, June 27, through the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Singles Finals on Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10.

The broadcasts will air courtesy of ESPN Audio, rightsholder to Live @ Wimbledon radio broadcasts in the U.S., and The All England Lawn Tennis Club.

Live play-by-play of matches will air on Sirius channel 145 and XM channel 201 and on channel 963 on the SiriusXM app and online at SiriusXM.com.  Listeners will hear Live @ Wimbledon, the official radio broadcast of Wimbledon.

SiriusXM will offer up to 13 hours of daily live Wimbledon coverage — from 4:00 am ET through the end of each day’s play — giving listeners access to point-by-point action of matches on both Centre Court and the outer courts, plus pre- and post-match commentary, highlights and up-to-the-moment tournament news.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic – who has won every Grand Slam since last year’s Wimbledon victory and is halfway to this year’s calendar grand slam – will be attempting to win his third straight Gentlemen’s Singles title.  He will face a field that includes Great Britain’s Andy Murray, the world’s second ranked player, as well as seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka and many more of the world’s best.

On the women’s side six-time Wimbledon champion and World No.1 Serena Williams is attempting to capture her 22nd career Grand Slam victory, which would tie her with Steffi Graf for most all-time.  Opposing her in the draw is 2016 French Open champion Garbine Muguruza, World No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska, 2016 Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Venus Williams and many others.
