College Lacrosse: ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship Begins April 29

No. 10 North Carolina defeated No. 4 Notre Dame, which had been ranked No. 1 for three consecutive weeks, on Saturday, earning the No. 1 seed in the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The semifinals begin Friday, April 29, and will feature matchups between North Carolina and No. 7 Syracuse at 6 p.m., followed by Notre Dame facing No. 14 Duke at 8:30 p.m. The winners will advance to the Final on Sunday, May 1, at noon. All three games will air on ESPNU with action called by the trio of Eamon McAnaney, Quint Kessenich and Paul Carcaterra.

During the North Carolina-Syracuse game, the second NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Sport Committee’s top-10 rankings will be revealed, which includes games played through April 24.

ESPN3 will also carry the ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship, beginning with the quarterfinals on Thursday, April 28.

After a 19-13 win over Michigan, No. 8 Johns Hopkins will face No. 3 Maryland Saturday at 2 p.m. on ESPNU.
