Tommie Harris, defensive tackle released by the Chicago Bears this week, could be a Washington Redskin in 2011. Harris, who was interviewed on the Lavar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes on 106.7 The Fan, said he has a lot left to prove now that he is finally healthy and DC may be a very likely destination. The former Bears player, who is familiar with the “three-technique” tackle position, would be responsible for keeping the quarterback from stepping up in the pocket, something the Redskins struggled to do with the lack of production by Albert Haynesworth. Given the drama surrounding Haynesworth and the Redskin’s desire to part ways with him, Harris may be able to become an important piece of the Redskin’s defensive scheme.
