CBS Radio announced that WJFK, 106.7 The Fan, will be the flagship station of the Washington Nationals as part of a multi-year deal beginning with the 2011 season. Some games will air on 106.7’s CBS sister station, talker WHFS, 1580 AM. Longtime Nationals radio broadcast team Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler will join WJFK for game broadcasts, and local baseball historian and broadcaster Phil Wood will also contribute to the broadcasts. As part of the agreement, 106.7 The Fan will broadcast a variety of Nationals-related programs, including daily reports from Nationals spring training, pre- and post-game shows, and hourly Nationals programs twice a week throughout the season. The station will also operate a studio set behind Section 106 at Nationals Park for pre-game and post-game coverage, and special live broadcasts of its local sports talk shows.
