POTENTIAL GAME 7 TRIPLEHEADER TOMORROW ACROSS NBCSN AND CNBC

Two Game 7 matchups are set for Wednesday night on NBCSN and CNBC, as the (1) Colorado Avalanche look to hold serve at home against the (4) Minnesota Wild, and the (3) Los Angeles Kings look to complete an historic comeback against the (2) San Jose Sharks.

CNBC’s coverage on Wednesday will start at 9:30 p.m. ET with Game 7 between the Avalanche and Wild. The home team has won each of the first six games of this series, including Minnesota’s 5-2 win on Monday night, as Wild captain Zach Parise scored the game-winning goal and recorded four points to force Game 7 back in Denver. The winner of Wild-Avalanche will go on to face the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks in the second round.

NBCSN will present coverage of Game 7 on Wednesday between the Sharks and Kings at 10 p.m. ET tomorrow night, as the Kings look to pull off an improbable comeback with four straight victories to erase a 3-0 series deficit.Justin Williams broke a 1-1 tie with just over eight minutes remaining in the third period on Monday night, as the Kings went on to win 4-1, and force Game 7 back in San Jose.

Only three teams have ever rallied from a 0-3 deficit to win a Stanley Cup Playoff series (’42 Toronto Maple Leafs, ’75 New York Islanders, ’10 Philadelphia Flyers). The winner of Kings-Sharks will go on to face the Anaheim Ducks in the second round.

With two Game 7 matchups already for set for tomorrow night, a Flyers win in Game 6 tonight against the Rangers would set the stage for a Game 7 tripleheader on Wednesday night across NBCSN and CNBC. Game coverage would begin with Game 7 between the Rangers and Flyers from Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
