The Washington Redskins are one of the teams that will pursue Eagles QB Kevin Kolb according to league sources. When the NFL re-opens for business, Kolb will likely be available in a trade. But the obstacles for a deal are formidable. The biggest issue will be Washington’s lack of early round draft picks that would enable the team to have adequate compensation for a starting NFL quarterback, particularly within the same division. And with Redskin QB Donovan McNabb currently on the roster, who was less than thrilled when the Eagles drafted Kolb out of college, this move would add more friction to a team that has had numerous off-the-field dramas.
