8/23 – Brian Kenny Leaving ESPN

A longtime ESPN anchor is reportedly leaving the network. ESPN anchor Brian Kenny will leave the network in September, USA Today reported Monday.  ESPN VP/Communication Mike Soltys said that Kenny, whose contract expired, “found a new opportunity” Kenny anchored SportsCenter and Friday Night Fights for ESPN and also hosted his own ESPN Radio show. He is the second SportsCenter anchor to leave the network this year; morning anchor Josh Elliot departed for Good Morning America in May. Kenny joined ESPN in 1998, according to SMW.
