Mikaela Shiffrin: Peak Season, A Documentary On The Woman Behind The Wins, Debut Jan. 29 On Nbcsn

STAMFORD, Conn. – January 23, 2018 – Exactly 10 days before all eyes are focused on the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, NBCSN presents an inside look at alpine skiing sensation Mikaela Shiffrin (@MikaelaShiffrin) and her journey to PyeongChang, South Korea, with Mikaela Shiffrin: Peak Season. The 60-minute documentary, featuring exclusive one-on-one interviews and self-captured moments, debuts Monday, Jan. 29, at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

A film crew from Red Bull Media House followed Shiffrin around the world, from Paris, to Chile, to Utah, and caught a glimpse of the tremendous success and attention the 22-year-old received during her 2017 season. The candid documentary shows the hours of work, the occasional mental and emotional struggle that comes along with being expected to win, and the fun side of being a young woman growing up in a highly abnormal situation.

From chasing snow around the globe to chasing romance with her ski-racing boyfriend, Mikaela Shiffrin: Peak Season gives viewers the most intimate look into Shiffrin’s life to date.

NBCSN will air an encore presentation of Mikaela Shiffrin: Peak Season Sunday, Feb. 4, at 4 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 11:30 p.m. ET.
