STAMFORD, Conn. – November 15, 2017 – NBC Sports wraps up its 27th consecutive season of Notre Dame Football on NBC this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC with a presentation of college football’s longest continuous intersectional rivalry, when the No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (8-2) host the Navy Midshipmen (6-3) at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.

Notre Dame and Navy meet on Saturday for the 91st consecutive year, dating back to the inaugural meeting in the series in 1927. The Fighting Irish are coming off a 41-8 loss to Miami on Saturday, now No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings, snapping Notre Dame’s seven-game winning streak. Navy enters the game following a 43-40 win against SMU last week to become bowl-eligible for the 14th time in the last 15 seasons.

Saturday’s clash features two of the most prolific rushing offenses in all of college football. Navy leads all FBS teams in rushing yards per game (369.8), while Notre Dame ranks sixth in the nation (303.2). Navy slot back Malcolm Perry played quarterback in the Midshipmen’s win against SMU, rushing for 282 yards and four touchdowns, while Notre Dame RB Josh Adams is ranked fourth among all FBS running backs with 8.05 yards per carry this season.

Navy won last year’s matchup with Notre Dame by a score of 28-27 in Jacksonville, Fla. Notre Dame leads the all-time series, 76-13-1.

The Notre Dame Football on NBC commentary team is led by Mike Tirico, alongside Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie, who serves as lead analyst for Notre Dame Football on NBC, and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen.

Liam McHugh hosts studio coverage of Notre Dame Football on NBC, alongside former college and NFL quarterback Chris Simms. McHugh and Simms anchor pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage on-site at Notre Dame Stadium this season.
