BIG TEN HOOPS TIPS OFF ON FOX AND FS1 IN 2017-18

New York – FOX Sports is once again home to some of the best collegiate basketball in the country, this season adding Big Ten hoops to its already loaded lineup on the hardwood. FOX Sports’ first Big Ten men’s basketball schedule features top non-conference and conference matchups, including appearances by each of the Big Ten’s seven NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago, defending conference champion Purdue and reigning Big Ten Tournament winner Michigan.

Big Ten basketball comes to the FOX broadcast network for the first time on Saturday, Dec. 2, as Wisconsin hosts Ohio State at 5:00 PM ET. First-year Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann leads the Buckeyes into the Kohl Center to face Greg Gard and the Badgers in a game that immediately precedes FOX’s live coverage of the Big Ten Football Championship Game at 7:00 PM ET.

Throughout the Big Ten conference schedule, FS1 televises 13 Monday or Friday games, including key matchups like Michigan at Ohio State (Monday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 PM ET), Indiana at Michigan State (Friday, Jan. 19, at 7:00 PM ET), Wisconsin at Michigan State (Friday, Jan. 26, 8:00 PM ET) and a doubleheader on Monday, Feb. 19, to tip off the final week of conference play featuring Maryland at Northwestern (7:00 PM ET) and Minnesota at Wisconsin (9:00 PM ET).

Overall, FOX Sports’ Big Ten schedule includes up to seven games on the FOX broadcast network and more than 30 on FS1. BTN televises more than 75 Big Ten games, including 10 Big Ten Tournament contests from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Start times and television designations for the Gavitt Tipoff Games will be announced at a later date. All eight games from the annual challenge between the Big Ten and BIG EAST conferences appear on FS1 or BTN.
