Compared to previous Stanley Cup finals to involve a Canadian team, Friday’s game drew a higher overnight than Ducks/Senators Game 5 in 2007 (2.5) and Oilers/Hurricanes Game 5 in 2006 (2.9), and matched Flames/Lightning Game 5 in 2004 (3.2, ABC), according to SMW.
