ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 21, 2016) – The PGA TOUR season will culminate at the TOUR Championship in Atlanta, with each of the top-5 players in the current FedExCup standings guaranteed to claim the FedExCup and accompanying $10 million bonus with a victory this week. NBC Sports Group will provide more than 20 hours of live tournament coverage from East Lake Golf Club, and once the final pairing makes the turn to the back nine on Sunday, NBC will present the duration of its final round coverage free of national advertisements. Following the conclusion of the TOUR Championship, U.S. Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III will announce his final captain’s pick during halftime of NBC’s Sunday Night Football game between the Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys. The Web.com Tour Finals continue this week with the third leg of its four-event series, with the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship being staged in Columbus, Ohio. The PGA TOUR Champions are in Canada for the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship – airing in primetime Friday-Sunday – with Bernhard Langer headlining the field. And the European Tour is in Germany for the Porsche European Open, with European Ryder Cup team members Martin Kaymer and Thomas Pieters in the field.

NBC Sports airing national advertisement-free coverage down the stretch during Sunday’s final round on NBC: Viewers won’t miss a second of the drama as it builds during the final round of the TOUR Championship on Sunday. Once the final pairing makes the turn to the back nine at East Lake, NBC Sports will present the duration of its coverage free of national advertisements, thanks to the support of TOUR Championship partners Coca-Cola and Southern Company.
Reversal of Nines at East Lake: For the first time, the traditional nines at East Lake will be reversed and, instead of the final hole being played as a par-3 as it has in the past, the 18th hole will be a par-5 (previously played as the 9th hole.)
Top-5 in FedExCup Standings have clear path to winning FedExCup: With points reset ahead of the TOUR Championship, every player in the field has a mathematical chance of winning the FedExCup. However, the top-5 in the standings are guaranteed to win the FedExCup and $10 million first place bonus with a victory this week. The top-5 in the standings include: Dustin Johnson (1), Patrick Reed (2), Adam Scott (3), Jason Day (4) and Paul Casey (5).

Spieth defends: Jordan Spieth finished four shots clear of the field in 2015 to win his fifth event of the season, along with the FedExCup.

Players eligible to compete: Eligible players for the Web.com Tour Finals are Nos. 1-75 on theWeb.com Tour’s regular season money list, as well as Nos. 126-200 in the FedExCup standings following last month’s Wyndham Championship (less those with exemptions), plus non-members who earned enough equivalent FedExCup points to finish within the 126-200 range. Cumulative earnings in these four tournaments will determine an additional 25 PGA Tour cards and the positioning of all 50 players who earn cards on the initial 2016-2017 PGA Tour tournament priority list.
