2016 IIHF World Hockey Championship Coverage Begins Tomorrow on NBCSN – Team USA vs. Canada at 9 a.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. – May 5, 2016 – NBCSN and CNBC will present a pair of Western Conference Game 4 matchups tonight, beginning at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, when David Backesand the St. Louis Blues host Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars. Coverage continues at 9 p.m. ET on CNBC, when Shea Weber and the Nashville Predators host Joe Pavelski and the San Jose Sharks in Game 4 of their Second Round series.

John Forslund (play-by-play) and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will call Stars-Blues from Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo., and Chris Cuthbert (play-by-play) and Joe Micheletti (‘Inside-the-Glass’) will handle commentary for Sharks-Predators from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

Tonight’s pre-game coverage begins with NHL Live at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, hosted by Liam McHugh alongside analysts and former players Keith Jones and Brian Boucher. Dave Briggswill anchor CNBC’s studio coverage with analysts and former players Jeremy Roenick andAnson Carter.

GAME 4 – (1) STARS AT (2) BLUES – 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – BLUES LEAD 2-1

The Blues took a 2-1 series lead on Tuesday evening with a convincing 6-1 win at home in Game 3, handing Dallas its worst margin of defeat this season. David Backes and Alex Steeneach scored twice for St. Louis. Dallas head coach Lindy Ruff pulled his starting goaltender for the second consecutive game, as Antti Niemi allowed three goals on 12 shots early in the second period.


GAME 4 – (3) SHARKS AT (WC1) PREDATORS – 9 P.M. ET ON CNBC – SHARKS LEAD 2-1

The Predators got a much needed Game 3 victory on Tuesday night, handing the Sharks a 4-1 defeat in Nashville to cut San Jose’s series lead in half. James Neal, Shea Weber, Colin Wilson and Filip Forsberg scored for the Predators in the win, while Pekka Rinne made 26 saves. San Jose led the NHL with 28 road wins in the regular season, and Game 3 marked the Sharks’ first road loss of the postseason (3-1).

 


2016 IIHF WORLD HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP COVERAGE BEGINS TOMORROW ON NBCSN – TEAM USA VS. CANADA AT 9 A.M. ET
