NBC Sports Live Extra to Provide Streaming Coverage

NBC Olympics to Present 76 Hours of U.S. Olympic Trials Coverage, Including More Than 60 Hours in Primetime

STAMFORD, Conn.May 5, 2016 – NBCSN will present exclusive coverage of the U.S. Rowing Team Trials this Sunday at 5 p.m. ET, part of NBC Olympics’ 76 hours of Trials coverage on NBC and NBCSN leading into the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

NBCSN’s coverage on Sunday will showcase the finals in several events from the U.S. Rowing Team Trials, which took place in Sarasota, Fla., in late April. 2012 Olympian Gevvie Stone, who entered the Team Trials aiming to make her second Olympic team in the women’s single sculls event, will headline a number of potential Olympians featured during Sunday’s coverage.

NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs – will provide comprehensive streaming coverage of the U.S. Rowing Team Trials.

Leigh Diffey handles the play-by-play coverage of the U.S. Rowing Team Trials alongside Mary Whipple, a two-time Olympic gold medalist at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Games.

This weekend’s Trials coverage is part of 76 hours of U.S. Olympic Trials on NBC and NBCSN, including more than 60 hours of coverage in primetime.
