NFL Turning Point Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick

STAMFORD, CONN. – December 1, 2015 – This week’s all-new edition of NFL Turning Point, debuting Wednesday at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN, features the Week 12 matchup between QBBrock Osweiler and the Denver Broncos and QB Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The program examines how Denver was able beat New England on Sunday and end the Patriots’ bid for a perfect season.

In addition, NFL Turning Point studies Texans DE J.J. Watt’s strong defensive performance against the Saints; focuses on Seahawks QB Russell Wilson’s career-high five touchdown passes in Seattle’s win against Pittsburgh;  and features in-game audio from around the league.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the 30-minute long NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, airs weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode features:

  • Saints-Texans: NFL Films shines a spotlight on J.J. Watt’s two sacks on Sunday and examines how his performance helped the Texans defense hold the Saints to six points. In addition, the segment features in-game audio from Watt, who was mic’d up during Houston’s victory over New Orleans.
  • Steelers-Seahawks: NFL Turning Point reviews Russell Wilson’s fourth quarter performance in Sunday’s victory over the Steelers, and studies how Wilson’s three touchdown passes helped Seattle avoid a sixth fourth quarter loss this season.
  • Patriots-Broncos: NFL Films highlights how key contributions by Denver’s offense and defense were able to put an end to New England’s bid for a perfect season. NFL Turning Point reviews Broncos RB J. Anderson’s 48-yard rushing touchdown and how it clinched the win for the Broncos.

 

Wednesday night’s Sounds of The Game – Powered by BOSE – segment features in-game audio from Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Colts coach Chuck Pagano and Titans TE Delanie Walker in their respective games on Sunday.

Each week NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show also features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long-form game-of-the-week style narratives that include pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

In 2015 NBCSN will air a total of 21 episodes. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2016, will look back at the “turning point” of Super Bowl 50.
