DeMaurice Smith, the NFL Players Associated executive director, was the surprise guest for approximately 40 Washington Redskins’ players who met today and held an informal team practice. Smith who answered players’ questions for about 15 minutes after practice, and gave a timeline of upcoming important dates as the lockout makes its way through the courts. Smith also urged the players to stick together through the uncertain times. He did not speak to reporters.
