But this information was not official, was not on the record, and not put out by the Maryland athletic department. The information about the hire was being posted by numerous media individuals via Twitter and the station apparently accepted those tweets as gospel. Chuck Sapienza, the sports talker’s program manager, posted an apology on the station’s Facebook page.
