Lavar Arrington, afternoon radio host on 106.7 The Fan in DC, believes Cam Newton should be the overall number one draft pick in the upcoming NFL draft and continues to promote how great a prospect Newton will be over the airwaves. Arrington even said jokingly, he wished Newton was his child. The former Auburn quarterback, who is skipping his senior season, signed with co-representatives agent Bus Cook and Washington, D.C.-based Perennial Sports and Entertainment. Arrington, formed a sport management firm, Leap Management, LLC, in 2008. The firm’s first clients were 2009 NFL Draft prospects Aaron Maybin, Derrick Williams, Josh Gaines, and Tyrell Sales. So does Arrington’s admiration and promotion of Newton have ulterior motives to pursue him as a client? It couldn’t hurt, right?
